It seems to be about a minute behind real-time

Re: Amazon Prime football coverage
Not had any problem streaming but the commentary sucks. They spent 5 minutes talking about how nice Burnleys yellow kit is yesterday whilst the game was being played.

I like it, we’re not bias in any way unlike bt and sky who are getting worse, bbc not far behind

Enjoyed it yesterday, Ally Mccoist was good.

Full claret jacket. Including reading the kit press release.

And then discussing sandwiches for a couple.of minutes.

But as jake pointed out on the match thread.... beats carragher

I think the best that can be said is that it's not too irritating, unlike most other commentary, particularly those which employ various useless Doris's who try so hard to sound like screaming blokes.
When you watch those old games on ITV4 and listen to the likes of Brian Moore you realise how appalling most commentators are these days. Mostly thanks to the influence of that noisey, verbose cunt Jonathon Pearce.

Re: Amazon Prime football coverage
The talk about the kit was all tongue in cheek, that’s why he read out the full press release for it. Just a bit of banter.

Re: Amazon Prime football coverage
I found it fine. Like most things, seems to wind up the easily-angered minority. McCoist was good. Didn’t mind the stupid chit chat as I’m used to listening to similar on TMS.

Beats Sky any fucking day.

There were a few on here yesterday crying about the female presenter. It was Gabby Logan though, who I think is very good.

It’s mostly radio 5 live people so was generally excellent.

Re: Amazon Prime football coverage
It was the first game I watched and didn't like the coverage. Normally, it's pretty decent. But they showcased 2 players, one from ours (Rice), and one from Burnley (Pope). At the end all they did was talk about when they were going to be signing for a bigger club for both players.

That and them talking about the yellow kit was shit.

Re: Amazon Prime football coverage
Funny - I thoroughly enjoyed the commentary.

They were completely different which I found very refreshing. It was like two very knowledgeable mates chatting about football. Dan M pointed out that they were being nice about both teams rather than jamming their tongue up the arse of one of them while grudgingly ackowledging the presence of West Ham.

I hated commentary for a long time until Gary Neville came along, who I think is great - but this was just really enjoyable. Maybe it's the lack of being there watching it with mates?

Re: Amazon Prime football coverage
As I nearly always avoid the pre match chat and after match chat, I basically just watch the game then switch over, it doesn’t much bother me who’s showing it. 8 don’t need some ex Liverpool or Man U player telling me what I’ve just seen.

Said to some mates Yesterday ,as a commentator seeing Ally McCoist as Co-commentator on the sheet must be a good feeling , you are definitely in for a good laugh .

No yellow kit is nice.

I have strong reservations about ecru, too.

Ally McCoist was very entertaining yesterday, was refreshing not to hear him sucking unto Liverpool/Man United/Chelsea,unlike the pricks on Sky.

To be fair I don't like any commentators.

I liked these two yesterday, definitely learnt from TMS. I also quite liked the burnley kit.

McCoist is funny, and couldn't give a fuck. I liked the idea of him jumping on the train with a sarnie he didn't want and necking two bottles of red on the journey.

I want to hear more about their sandwich swaps.

Ham and mustard (McCoist - good choice) vs smoked salmon and philly (gay gay gay)

Re: Amazon Prime football coverage
I didn't watch the build up or anything after the match but as far as the match coverage goes I enjoyed the commentary more than any I've heard in a long time for all the reasons stated already.
